Our aim is to provide you with comfortable accommodation in peaceful surroundings. Elderslea Manor offers quality accommodation at great prices  There a multiple decks for you to sit, eat, lounge on and enjoy the view, peace and scenery. We are adjacent to Clyma park

The facilities of the house are for your enjoyment including a spa set down on the deck next to the pool where it is possible to relax at night with a glass of chilled wine and look up at the incredibly clear "Milky way" and listen to the native owl, the Morepork.

During the day you can sit in the spa and listen to the singing of the tui and other native birds who often flit in amongst the bushes. 

A warm welcome or your own space

Glynis and Dave have run a succesful B&B, homestay and holiday apartment rental from our home since our daughters left to get married and start their own families.

Edge House,  Lower Hutt

Since we started business in 2005 at Edge House, hundreds of you have stayed in this special home/accommodation and enjoyed a break with us . Some have stayed for a night or two, others 6 weeks or more and many return year after year, arriving as strangers but leaving as friends.

Now having moved to Upper Hutt, you are welcome to be part of our family and home or, if you prefer, as many guests do, your privacy is respected and you can 'hide away' and enjoy your stay knowing that we are on hand only if you need us.

We are warm and friendly hosts, our guests arrive as strangers from all over the world but leave as friends.

We have many guests who have stayed on multiple occasions and we regulary keep in touch with former guests from overseas, some who have become personal friends. 

Who We Are

Orginally from Kent and Derbyshire in England, Dave & Glynis moved to New Zealand in 2003.

We believe that if you can and want to, you should always do something at least once - it is our aim to die never "..wishing I had..." so New Zealand it was and as we have fallen in love with this beautiful country and the lovely people, we have stayed.  We have not regretted our move for one moment.

Dave is a Telecoms Manager and Glynis is a retired Tutor of adults in Literacy/numeracy, business studies and administration. We are proud parents and grandparents.

Dave has a passion for classic cars and Glynis enjoys cooking, reading and walking.  We both enjoy going to the many shows, plays and events held in the Wellington area.

We have learned a good deal about our adopted home and visited many places in both islands.  We are able to give you advice on your travel arrangements and local activites and facilities.

We can also arrange for advice and bookings on your travel in New Zealand and beyond.
